Description

This template allows you to control your Nibe Heatpump "S-Series" direct without Gateway over Modbus TCP. The Nibe "SMO S40" is the control system for Air/Water, Brine/Water, Water/Water Heatpumps from Nibe. The "F series" with "SMO 40" of Nibe is a type of older system and can therefore only be integrated as a slave participant. You can find the template in the following link : Nibe F-Series The datapoints between the F-series, S-series and Greenline from Nibe (KNV) differ significantly.

The choice of paring Nibe Heatpumps with Loxone offers the possibility of:

- integrating demand-based heating and cooling depending on e.g. presence or the protection of open windows - Interaction with the blinds for saving effects by passive cooling thanks to Loxone automatic shading - Active integration in interaction with e.g. PV- systems in a Loxone Energy Management - Using flexible electricity tariffs with the Spot Price Optimizer. - Use statistics ore individual notifications - Create your own individual schematics - Reduce cycles and operating hours of your Nibe Heatpump - Create e.g. yearly operation goals like certain annual runtime forces for hybrid systems e.g. (Heatpump 60% amount of energy, Gas heater 40% amount of energy) to fulfill the requirements of your local government. - Grid management according to §14a ENWG in Germany - In addition to the electrical power, the current and total thermal energy can also be visualized via the Loxone Energy Flow Monitor. To the compact overview for e.g. contractors. - Influence on the hot water circulation pump by controlling via the presence detectors. - Increased security through leakage detection or activation of IP cameras in the plant room.

With our step by step manual for collecting the heating or cooling demand and forwarding it to the Nibe heatpump, we enable the interaction of the individual room control with the central heating/cooling system of Nibe. Please take a look on the Loxone Config sample file in the Library download area.

If you need a full list of all Modbus registerts, insert a USB-stick into the USB port of the HMI. Navigate to menu 7.5.9 Modbus TCP/IP and select "Export most used registers" or "Export all registers". This creates a full list of modbus registers in a .csv file.

Structure:

Please note: The LAN cable is connected to the controller for the air/water heat pump and to the Touch control module for the brine/water heat pump

Nibe helpcenter and download area:

- If you need help how to deal with the integration of the "SMO S 40" operation system or need general information, please use the multilingual Nibe homepage. Unfortunately, Nibe does not have all documents in their download area. Therefore, the documentation in our download area must always be checked for the latest version with the partner or seller for completeness and functionality. - In some countries it is possible to access the manual download area. e.g. for German:

  1. Hot Water Circulation

    Open

    Hi,

I've been using this for HW demand control linked to energy and wanted to try and control the HW Circulation Pump (GP11). How is this achieved? I've created an AQ with what i thought was the correct register however this doesn't seem to be working.

I note that you say it can influence hot water circulation pump by controlling via the presence detectors - do you have an example of this or am i missing something. Heatpump is Nibe S1155.

    Thanks

  2. Can I use this modbus template with NIBE S320?

    Open

Hi there, our customer own heat pump Nibe VVM S320. We need to connect with Loxone via Modbus TCP/IP. Modbus template is not included in supported devices. Can we use it for NIBE S320 or it is not recomended please? Thank you

    1. Hi, I am sorry for the late reply. I may had no notification about the your question.

Your customer can use the template as VVM S320 is part of the S-Series.

  4. Gibt es ein Template für KNV S320 + S2125?

    Open

    Liebes KNV/NIBE Team,
