Description

Control your M-TEC Heating & Cooling System via Modbus TCP. M-TEC with the [ZP022] Operating system can be directly connected to Loxone without a Gateway.

Depending on variation of your project you can choose between Miniserver, Miniserver Go or Miniserver Compact M-Tec also has its own PV management system with his own battery storage. The integration is shown in a separate template: M-TEC Energy Butler.

The Choice of paring M-TEC Systems with Loxone offers the possibility of:

- Integrating demand-based heating and cooling depending on e.g. presence or the protection of open windows, Automatic Shading and Weatherforecast. - Active integration in interaction with e.g. PV- systems in a Loxone Energy Management - Load management in areas where the building's electricity connection is low - Using flexible electricity tariffs with the Spot Price Optimizer. - Use statistics or individual notifications - Create individual live system schematics. - Reduce cycles and operating hours of your M-TEC Heatpump or Subdevices. - Combining hybrid solutions e.g. Heatpump and PV- Heating element in your Hot Water Storage - Create e.g. yearly operation goals like certain annual runtime forces for hybrid systems e.g. (Belaria 60% amount of energy, UltraGas 40% amount of energy) to fulfill the requirements of your local government. - Grid management according to §14a ENWG in Germany - Blackoutsafe! Switch off the Heatpump if the Grid power fails e.g. emergency power is active to safe battery capacity. - Use the flexible ways of reading thermal heat meters and electricity meters via e.g. M-Bus or IR readers and the thermal or electrical visualization in the Loxone Energy Flow Monitor. For e.g. Contractors. - Whether residential or commercial buildings. No matter whether M-TEC or Loxone is the main operator, no matter which hydraulics and consumers. Connecting M-TEC Heatpumps with Loxone systems allows the demand-oriented and intelligent distribution of energy thanks to distribution solutions from Belimo or IMI TA. - Influence on the hot water circulation pump by controlling via the presence detectors. - Increased security through leakage detection or activation of IP cameras in the plant room. - Use of the Heatpump to operate a Pool and to automatically control the switching of heating, cooling and hot water. - Connectivity and setup of heating centers and heating substations with the flexible ways of Loxone intercommunication.

M-TEC Helpcenter, download area and activation of Modbus:

- If you need help with e.g. the configuration of Modbus within the M-TEC operation unit please contact your M-TEC Partner. The Partner or the M-TEC customer service can be commissioned for this purpose. - To activate Modbus TCP on the M-TEC unit, please take a look on the following video, please note that the modbusadress is always "1". The Networksettings have to be common with the Loxone Config Settings on the Modbusserver.

Example UseCase: Integration M-TEC Brine System: Residential building with Heatpump, Hot Water storage, Heating/Cooling Buffer and Heating/Cooling circuits.

- [A1] Device Brine/Water e.g. M-TEC WPS - [A2] Passive Cooling with Ground Probe (Brine) - [A3] Heating/Cooling Buffer - [A4] Hot Water Storage Tank --> Controlled by Loxone - [A5] Fresh Water System - [HC1] Mixing Circuit Heating/Cooling HC1 (e.g. Ceiling Basement) --> Controlled by Loxone - [HC2] Mixing Circuit Heating/Cooling HC2 (e.g. Ceiling Groundfloor) --> Controlled by Loxone - [HC3] Mixing Circuit Heating/Cooling HC3 (e.g. Fancoils Office) --> Controlled by Loxone

With our step by step manual for collecting the Heating or Cooling Demand and forwarding it to the M-TEC WPS, we enable the interaction of the individual room control with the Central Heating & Cooling System of M-TEC. Please take a look on the Loxone Config sample file in the Library download area.
