Voltie Pro Charger
Content languageEnglish
Updated Oct 14, 2026
Description
This template connects a Voltie Pro AC charger to your Loxone Miniserver over Modbus TCP. No extra hardware is needed: the Miniserver talks to the charger directly on your local network.
Requirements
- Voltie Pro charger with firmware 3.57 or newer
- Modbus TCP switched on in the Voltie app (Settings, Integrations, Modbus TCP). To control charging from Loxone, also switch on Modbus control in the same menu.
- Miniserver and charger on the same local network
Setup
- Address: the IP address of the charger, port 502
- Device address (unit ID): 11
- Use only one Modbus master for the charger
What you can see
Charger state, charging power (total and per phase), current and voltage per phase, energy of the current session, total energy of the charger, charging time, phases in use, the reason of the last stop and the firmware version.
What you can control
Start and stop charging, set the charging current (6 to 32 A), switch between three-phase and single phase charging, switch autostart on or off, and choose the load management mode.
Solar charging
Connect your solar surplus to "Software current limit (write)". It can be changed as often as needed and does not change the charger's own settings. If the charger supports it, single phase charging lets the car charge from about 1.4 kW of surplus instead of about 4.1 kW.
Sample project
The sample connects the charger to the Loxone Wallbox block with three modes: PV surplus, fast charging and a fixed power. If the charger restarts, the sample sends the current limit and start/stop again, so the Wallbox block stays in control. Loading the sample does not change the charger's stored settings.
Good to know
- The charger keeps its own load management. It always uses the lower of the two limits, so Loxone cannot overload the main fuse.
- If the charger does not hear from Loxone for a while, it stops charging for safety. The template's normal polling prevents this.
