Viessmann Heating & Cooling

This template allows you to control your Viessmann Heating & Cooling device via the [Vitogate 300 BN/MB Gateway] +[LON Bus communicationmodule] over Modbus TCP or RTU. The Viessmann Vitotronic is a control system for Viessmann heat pumps, pellet boilers, gas boilers, oil boilers, hybrid systems or ventilation units. There are three different ways how to connect Viessmann with Loxone:

- Vitogate Modbus TCP Gateway - Vitogate Modbus RTU Gateway with Loxone Modbus Extension - Vitogate Modbus RTU Gateway with a Loxone Modbus Air.

Depending on variation of your project you can choose between Miniserver, Miniserver Go or Miniserver Compact

The choice of paring Viessmann Heating & Cooling systems with Loxone offers the possibility of:

- integrating demand-based heating and cooling depending on e.g. presence or the protection of open windows - Interaction with the blinds for saving effects by passive cooling thanks to Loxone automatic shading - Active integration in interaction with e.g. PV- systems in a Loxone Energy Management - Using flexible electricity tariffs with the Spot Price Optimizer. - Use statistics ore individual notifications - Create your own individual schematics - Reduce cycles and operating hours of your Viessmann Heating & Cooling device - Create e.g. yearly operation goals like certain annual runtime forces for hybrid systems e.g. (Vitocal 60% amount of energy, Vitodens 40% amount of energy) to fulfill the requirements of your local government. - Grid management according to §14a ENWG in Germany - In addition to the electrical power, the current and total thermal energy can also be visualized via the Loxone Energy Flow Monitor. To the compact overview for e.g. contractors. - Influence on the hot water circulation pump by controlling via the presence detectors. - Increased security through leakage detection or activation of IP cameras in the plant room.

!Important hint - Please note that the data points can vary completely from model to model. For example in the product line of heatpumps, the Vitocal [A] (Monoblock) , Vitocal [S] (Splitdevice) and Vitocal [G] (Geothermal) heat pump models each have their own Modbus data point list. To obtain the correct data point list, please contact your Viessmann partner! To transfer the correct data point for your Viessmann device, it is helpful to take the technology ID in this UseCase Template and find it in the correct Modbus data point list for your Viessmann device.

UseCase: Integration of a Vitotronic WO1C: Residential building with heating, cooling, heat buffer, warm water storage and heating circuits.
