Veton EV charger
Content languageEnglish
Description
This template integrates a Veton EV charger (built on the Phoenix Contact CHARX controller) into Loxone over Modbus TCP. It maps the charger's metering, status and control registers to Loxone sensors and actuators, so you can monitor charging and drive the native Wallbox function block — entirely on your local network, with no cloud dependency.
Reads (sensors) - Active power and total active-energy counter - Voltage and current per phase (L1 / L2 / L3) - Vehicle status (IEC 61851), charging release mode, error code, and state of charge (where reported)
Writes (actuators) - Charging release (start / stop) - Maximum charging current (A) - Connector locking
Requirements - Loxone Miniserver (Gen 1 or Gen 2), Loxone Config 16.0 or newer - A Veton / CHARX charger reachable on the LAN with Modbus TCP enabled (port 502)
Setup 1. Import the template onto a Modbus device and set the charger's IP address (port 502). 2. Wire the inputs and outputs to a Wallbox function block. 3. The template targets charging point 1 (register block 1xxx). For controllers with several charging points, duplicate the device and offset every register address by connector × 1000 (point 2 → 2xxx, point 3 → 3xxx, …).
