Unifi Alarm Manager Network/Protect/Access
Content languageEnglish
Description
The control of virtual inputs is handled via Loxone web services: https://www.loxone.com/dede/kb/webservices/
The configuration of alarms and webhooks is done in the UniFi Alarm Manager: https://help.ui.com/hc/en-us/articles/27721287753239-UniFi-Alarm-Manager-Customize-Alerts-Integrations-and-Automations-Across-UniFi
Basics Alarms are created in the UniFi Alarm Manager and triggered by defined events such as motion detection, smart detection (person, vehicle), intercom ring events or access events. When triggered, UniFi sends a webhook to the Loxone Miniserver. This webhook activates a virtual input which can be processed in Loxone logic. A pulse trigger is typically used, as it is best suited for logic blocks like staircase timers, scenes or state machines.
Important note regarding the download: The HTTP input included in the download is not required. It is only used to generate an XML template so that the Loxone requirements for uploading to the Loxone Library are fulfilled. For actual operation, only the virtual inputs and logic blocks included in the example project are used.
Use cases
- Using motion events or smart detection from UniFi cameras, outdoor lighting can be controlled. - Doorbell events can be forwarded to Loxone as a bell signal and played via speakers. - By using different user codes, an Intercom/Reader together with a Door Hub can handle multiple codes for different doors. Important: each valid code also triggers the Door Hub, therefore it is recommended not to connect any door opener. - ...
Configuration guide
*** UniFi *** Create local users for codes (for Access integrations only) Open Alarm Manager Create new alarm Define trigger (Protect or Access event) Select action: Custom Webhook Enter Delivery URL: http://>MiniserverIP/dev/sps/io/inputname/Pulse Examples: http://192.168.1.100/dev/sps/io/ui_alarm_trigger1/Pulse
Enable Advanced Settings Method: GET Authentication: Basic
(The command can currently only be tested in the UniFi Alarm Manager under Protect using the test button. This option is not yet available in Network or Access.)
*** Loxone *** Create virtual input or download the Exaple project Define unique name (used in URL) Create logic (e.g. staircase timer or scene block) No further configuration required
Important note:
- If virtual input names are changed, the webhook URL must be updated accordingly. - For the requests to the Loxone webservices to work, the setting under Miniserver / Configure Miniserver / Network / Network Ports / HTTP must be changed from Standard (Enabled, prefer HTTPS) to Enabled, otherwise the alarm messages will not be received.
The following hardware and software versions were used for creation and testing: Loxone Config 16.3.2.18B, Miniserver Gen2 (Firmware 16.3.2.18),
Ubiquiti CGM (Firmware 5.0.16 EA), Network application 10.2.93 EA, Protect application 7.0.88 EA, Access application 4.2.15 EA.
