Description
This template allows you to control your Samsung Heatpump via the [Modbus Interface Module MIM-B19N / MIM-B19NT] over Modbus RTU. From Loxone there here is a Modbus Extension required. It is also possible to integrate the Samsung heat pump via Modbus Air as a wirelessly variant.
The choice of paring Samsung Heatpumps with Loxone offers the possibility of:
- integrating demand-based heating and cooling depending on e.g. presence or the protection of open windows - Interaction with the blinds for saving effects by passive cooling thanks to Loxone automatic shading - Active integration in interaction with e.g. PV- systems in a Loxone Energy Management - Using flexible electricity tariffs with the Spot Price Optimizer. - Use statistics ore individual notifications - Create your own individual schematics - Reduce cycles and operating hours of your Samsung device - Combining hybrid solutions e.g. Heatpump and PV- Heating element in your Hot Water Storage - Create e.g. yearly operation goals like certain annual runtime forces for hybrid systems e.g. (Heatpump 60% amount of energy, Gas heater 40% amount of energy) to fulfill the requirements of your local government. - Grid management according to §14a ENWG in Germany - In addition to the electrical power, the current and total thermal energy can also be visualized via the Loxone Energy Flow Monitor. To the compact overview for e.g. contractors. - Influence on the hot water circulation pump by controlling via the presence detectors. - Increased security through leakage detection or activation of IP cameras in the plant room.

Samsung helpcenter and download area:
- Before purchasing the "Modbus Interface Module MIM-B19N / MIM-B19NT" for your heating & cooling operation system, please check the compatibility with your Samsung partner or Samsung purchaser. You can compare the designations with on your Samsung type label. - If you need help how to deal with the integration of the "MIM-B19N / MIM-B19NT" or need general information, please use the Samsung attached download area. Unfortunately, Samsung does not have an international download area for heatpumps. Therefore, the documentation must always be checked for the latest version with the partner or seller. - The assembly and initial commissioning of the "MIM-B19N / MIM-B19NT" Modbus module are described in the following explanatory video:
With our step by step manual for collecting the heating or cooling demand and forwarding it to the Samsung heatpump, we enable the interaction of the individual room control with the central heating/cooling system of Samsung. Please take a look on the Loxone Config sample file in the Library download area.
UseCase: Integration of a Samsung EHS Mono HT Quiet: Residential building with heating, cooling, heat buffer, warm water storage and heating circuits.
- Device Air/Water EHS Mono HT Quiet - Heat buffer tank - Warm water storage tank --> Controlled by Loxone - Direct circuit HC1 --> Controlled by Loxone - Mixing circuit heating/cooling HC2 (e.g. ceiling heating/cooling) --> Controlled by Loxone
Please note that the Samsung Heatpump is not able to use more than two HC´s. In This case the HC3 or more has to be wired to Loxone.

Can you please add the register to receive error messages from the heat pump
OpenHi,
can you please add the modbus register (I think it is 76 and / or 77) to your config file, so that Loxone is receiving an error if the heating pump has any error.
I am not sure how to convert the decimal error code into a number: Error information collected by MCC in bit#
Many thanks Markus

Video installing MIM-B19N for Samsung EHS heat pump
OpenHi, I would like kindly to ask you for support. I do the integration for the first time for myself, and I like to see the video, on which I need your approval to see. Also I want to ask if there is a need to change the setting on modbus MIM-B19N module, when I am going to connect it into Loxone Modbus Air or if the module will work after connection to modbus air and heat pump without its setting change.
Thanks a lot,
Best regards,
Jiri

Modbus Air power supply
OpenHello, Can I tap the power supply for the Modbus Air module from the 12V supply from the main board (CN12)? Or should I put a separate power supply here? Thank you for your help.

Please consult Samsung directly on that regard. Modbus Air consumes only little power thanks to Air, see our datasheet for reference.
