Description

This is a template used to integrate the Olimpia Splendid heating and cooling system via the Loxone Modbus extension and the Olimpia Splendid b0686 electronics for Modbus communication. The Loxone Modbus extension runs on the Modbus RTU protocol while the bo686 runs on the Modbus ASCII protocol, so we need a MODBUS-ASCII to MODBUS-RTU converter: Cel-Mar ADA-4040PC1

  1. Question about Olimpia Splendid Modbus integration for Unico HP12

    Open

    Hello,

I found your Olimpia Splendid Modbus template on the Loxone Library and the related documentation for the B0372 / B0375 / B0685 fan coil Modbus interface.

Thank you for sharing this work, it is very useful.

I would like to know whether the same Modbus integration approach could also work with an Olimpia Splendid Unico HP12 air conditioner.

In my Unico HP12 documentation, the serial port is described as RS485 Modbus RTU for connection to an external BMS. From what I understand, your Loxone template uses Modbus RTU on the Loxone side, with a converter when the Olimpia interface uses Modbus ASCII.

Do you know if the Unico HP12 uses the same or similar register map as the Olimpia fan coil units?

For example, I am especially interested in controlling or reading:

    - On / Off or standby status - Cooling mode - Fan speed - Temperature setpoint - Room temperature - Alarm or fault status

I am planning to integrate the unit into a home automation system using an ESP32 or Arduino as a Modbus RTU master, then forward the data to my home automation controller via MQTT.

Do you know if this is possible with the Unico HP12, or if there is a separate Modbus register documentation for the Unico range?

Any information, documentation, or feedback would be very helpful.

    Best regards,

    Arnaud
