MENNEKES AMTRON® Charge Control & Professional & Twincharge & AMEDIO®
Content languageEnglish
Description
The sample project shows a possible implementation of your AMTRON® via Modbus TCP. For this purpose the Loxone function block "Wallbox" is used. Here you can find further information about the supported AMTRON® charging stations:
- AMTRON® Charge Control - AMTRON® Professional - AMTRON® Professional Twincharge - AMEDIO® Professional
Please be sure to have the latest AMTRON® firmware installed, which uses the Modbus register table available at the "Additional Downloads" here:
- Minimum firmware requirement: 5.22 - Find latest Firmware-Update here (5.22.5 / 5.33.11)
You have the choice to use the Loxone "Wallbox Gen. 1" or the new "Wallbox" template.
- MENNEKES_AMTRON_Charge_Control_Professional_v.1.1.2.Loxone - MENNEKES_AMTRON_Charge_Control_Professional_v.2.0.0.Loxone (recommended)
Functions:
- app authorization: remote start (and pause) as an additional option besides RFID authorization - Select the number of phases of the connected EV to start and stop PV charging at 1.38kw, 2.76kW or 4.14kW. - Solar Only Mode for charging almost 100% solar energy in your EV. - Solar Supported Mode for charging a minimum amount of energy + additional available solar energy. - 3 modes for charge limitation within the Loxone interface - intelligent: used for solar optimized charging (Solar Only or Solar Supported) - manual: charging power can be adjusted by a slide control - maximum: no limitation - live meter values - total and phase accurate charging power - charged energy and duration of the charging session - phase accurate current - total energy - daily statistics of your charging history - online status of the wallbox
Please follow the instructions below to use the sample project.
- Activate the "Modbus interface" in the webinterface of your AMTRON®.
- Activate "Free Charging" in the webinterface of your AMTRON®.
- Activate "App Authorization" in the interface of Loxone. - v.1.1.2 App Authorization activated (charging has to be started manually to prevent unauthorized charging sessions)
- v.2.0.0 App Authorization deactivated (charging will start automatically)
Interface of the App (v.1.1.2 / v.2.0.0)
Solar Optimized Charging (v.1.1.2)
- To get it working, replace the "Dummy PV" by your available solar power (in Watt).
- Wallbox Gen1 offers three settings to limit the charging power - switch to the "Intelligent" Mode for solar optimized charging. The charging session will be paused until there's enough power to assign to the car.
- Futhermore select the number of phases of the connected EV. This will start and stop solar optimized charging at the corresponding levels at 1.38kW, 2.76kW or 4.14kW.
Solar Optimized Charging with additional Solar Modes (v.2.0.0)
- To get it working, replace the "Dummy PV" by your available solar power (in Watt).
- With the new Wallbox function block in Loxone the template uses 4 charging modes. - Max Power - Solar Only (only available solar power, no charge if limit is not reached) - Solar Supported (adjustable minimum power plus available solar power, charge with minimum power in any case) - Manuell
- Futhermore select the number of phases of the connected EV. This will start and stop solar optimized charging at the corresponding levels at 1.38kW, 2.76kW or 4.14kW. - Beside that the Solar Supported Power can be adjusted.
Optional for RFID users
- Deactivate "Free Charging" in the webinterface of your AMTRON® to use your RFID card to authorize as you are used to. - Furthermore "App Authorization" can be deactivated (as there is no need if you use the RFID card for authorization). In this case an active charging session can be paused and restarted within the Loxone interface as well.
It is highly recommended to set up a static IP address for your AMTRON®. Within the Loxone project this IP address has to be assigned to the Modbus server to find your AMTRON in your IP network. Additionaly the Modbus port 502 has to be added to the IP address. For AMTRON® Professional Twincharge and AMEDIO® Professional with two charging points, the Modbus port has to be 502 and 503 to differ between the charging points. The Modbus address for a single wallbox is "1", as seen in the graphic below.
Feel free to customize the project to your needs and don't hesitate to give us feedback. Thanks to the users who already helped us improving the template. Your team from MENNEKES.
