Description

The brand new charging station AMTRON® 4You 300 uses Modbus RTU to interact with the Loxone system (Loxone Modbus RTU extension needed).

Here you can find further information about the supported AMTRON® charging stations:

- AMTRON® 4You 300

Please be sure to have the latest software update installed on your wallbox:

- use the MENNEKES configuration cable together with the latest version of the MENNEKES configuration tool (v2.2) - supported version of the wallbox software for the charging station: at least v2.0 (03/2024), current version v2.2 (07/2025)

To use the charging station as a solar controlled modbus satellite, set the DIPs 4,5 and 7 of bank S1 to "ON" and restart the wallbox.

For dynamic phase switch (automatic switch between 1- and 3-phase charging) it is necessary to have the option "dynamic phase switch" activated via the MENNEKES configuration tool (https://www.mennekes.de/emobility/produkt-details/mennekes-konfigurationskabel-18625/).

MENNEKES Modbus RTU uses the following communication parameters per default:

- Baudrate 57600 bit/s - 8 Data bits - 2 Stop bits - modbus address of the wallbox: 50 - It is also possible to adjust the Modbus settings regarding your needs (baudrate, data format, modbus address). - >>> For more details regarding the modbus specification: check the attached description.

The minimal registers needed to control your AMTRON® 4You 300 are:

- Heartbeat: 21930 (cyclic, at least every 10s) - Charging Current: 6...16/32A - Charging Release: 0=prevent charging, 1=allow charging

You can also use the attached template including the usage of the phase switching option for the AMTRON® with 11kW. Just replace the "PV Power" with your own live value.

Feel free to customize the project to your needs and don't hesitate to give us feedback. Thanks to the users who already helped us improving the template. Your team from MENNEKES.
