Kostal Smart Energy Meter KSEM

Configuration Kostal Smart Energy Meter In order for the KSEM to provide data via Modbus, the function must be activated on the device.

A password is required to access the Kostal Smart Energy Meter. The initial password is printed on the type plate on the side of the device.

The Slave function must be activated for Modbus TCP on the dashboard under Modbus settings

From then on, the KSEM supplies the data from the PV system via Modbus TCP.

The three data points are created in the template to represent the simplest data flow. Using the Kostal ModBus TCP documentation, additional data points can be added as required.

e.g. Battery power at address 40984 (function code 0x03, type int32, units W)

Integration in Loxone In the Loxone Config, a Modbus server is created under Network Peripherals with the IP address of the KSEM and port 502. The template can then be added as a Modbus device.
