Description

iDM Heatpumps with the Navigator Control 2.0 can be directly connected to an Ethernet network. This allows to have access to the Navigator control via the Modbus TCP protocol. The Navigator Control 2.0 is a operating system for Air/Water, Brine/Water, Water/Water Heatpumps from iDM.

The choice of paring iDM Heatpumps with Loxone offers the possibility of:

- integrating demand-based heating and cooling depending on e.g. presence or the protection of open windows - Active integration in interaction with e.g. PV- systems in a Loxone Energy Management - Using flexible electricity tariffs with the Spot Price Optimizer. - Use statistics ore individual notifications - Create your own individual schematics - Reduce cycles and operating hours of your iDM heatpump - Integration in hybrid systems e.g. Gas, Oil or PV electrical heaters. - Combining hybrid solutions e.g. Heatpump and PV- Heating element in your Hot Water Storage - Create e.g. yearly operation goals like certain annual runtime forces for hybrid systems e.g. (Heatpump 60% amount of energy, Gas heater 40% amount of energy) to fulfill the requirements of your local government. - Grid management according to §14a ENWG in Germany - In addition to the electrical power, the current and total thermal energy can also be visualized via the Loxone Energy Flow Monitor. To the compact overview for e.g. contractors. - Influence on the hot water circulation pump by controlling via the presence detectors. - Increased security through leakage detection or activation of IP cameras in the plant room.

With our step by step manual for collecting the heating or cooling demand and forwarding it to the iDM Navigator 2.0, we enable the interaction of the individual room control with the central heating/cooling system of iDM. Please take a look on the Loxone Config sample file in the Library download area.

Structure:

Depending of the model of your iDM heatpump it can be that the connection of the LAN cable is direct on the housing of the iDM Heatpump. __________________________________________________________________________________________________ iDM helpcenter, download area and activation of Modbus:

- If you need help with the configuration of Modbus within the iDM heat pump please contact your IDM Partner. - The direct download of documents on the iDM Homepage is only available to iDM partners. Therefore, the instructions in the download area of the template must be used and checked for the latest version. - To activate Modbus TCP on the heat pump, please follow the Modbus TCP instructions in the download area of the template. - In addition to the data points of the UseCase, a list of German and English data points is available in the download area of the template in an unordered larger selection.

Example UseCase: Integration of a Navigator 2.0: Residential building with heating, warm water storage and heating circuit.

- Device Air/Water Heatpump AERO ALM - Warm water storage tank --> Controlled by Loxone - Heating/Cooling Buffer - Mixing circuit heating/cooling HC1 (e.g. ceiling) --> Controlled by Loxone

Please note that the defrost volume must be ensured when used without a heating/cooling buffer tank, that HC Mixing valves and/or minimum openings of the thermostatic valves in the individual room are ensured. Depending from project to project. Every system is individual.
