Description
Hoval with the TopTronic® E operating system can be connected to Loxone via multiple HovalConnect Gateways (GW). Please note that, starting in July 2026, we have enabled all Hoval gateways—whether "LAN", "Wi-Fi", "Modbus", "OPCUA", or "KNX" —to support the Modbus interface via an over-the-air update from HovalConnect. The RTU terminal block is included on the HovalConnect Modbus Gateway (article number 6049501) as standard, or can be ordered optionally from Hoval (article number 2062935). If you only need cost-effective integration via Modbus TCP, the HovalConnect LAN Gateway (article number 6049496) is sufficient! This means that all existing systems and new Hoval systems come with Loxone connectivity right out of the box, so there’s no need to purchase any additional hardware!
There are four different ways how to connect Hoval with Loxone: 1.Hoval Modbus TCP
2.Hoval Modbus RTU Gateway with Loxone Modbus Extension
3.Hoval Modbus RTU Gateway with a Loxone Modbus Air.
4.Hoval Modbus RTU Gateway with a Loxone Modbus Tree.
Depending on variation of your project you can choose between Miniserver, Miniserver Go or Miniserver Compact The Hoval TopTronic E (TTE) is a operating system for Hoval District Heating, Air/Water, Brine/Water, Water/Water Heatpumps, Gas, Oil and wood sources that are able to Heat or Cool by stand alone or combining them to Hybridsystems.
- The Hoval Top Tronic E (TTE) is also able to operate his own ventilation system. - The Hoval Top Tronic E (TTE) is also able to communicate with the Hoval PV-Heater. - The Hoval Top Tronic E (TTE) is also able for full integration of e.g. heatpumps with Hoval Heating & Cooling - The Hoval Toop Tronic E (TTE) also offers the option of simple connectivity with PV inverters with Hoval Energy Management
The choice of paring District Heating Stations with Loxone offers the possibility of:
- Integrating demand-based heating depending on e.g. presence or the protection of open windows, Automatic Shading and Weatherforecast. - Use statistics or individual notifications - Create individual system schematics. - Create Hybrid Systems with other Hoval Sources or the Hoval PV-Heater. - Use the flexible ways of reading thermal heat meters and electricity meters via e.g. M-Bus or IR readers and the thermal or electrical visualization in the Loxone Energy Flow Monitor. For e.g. Contractors. - Whether residential or commercial buildings. No matter whether Hoval-TTE or Loxone is the main operator, no matter which hydraulics and consumers. Connecting Hoval with Loxone systems allows the demand-oriented and intelligent distribution of energy thanks to distribution solutions from Belimo or IMI TA. - Influence on the hot water circulation pump by controlling via the presence detectors. - Increased security through leakage detection or activation of IP cameras in the plant room. - Use of the District Heating Station to operate a Pool and to automatically control the switching of heating, Pool and hot water. - Connectivity and setup of heating centers and heating substations with the flexible ways of Loxone intercommunication.

System overview example using Modbus TCP:
If a District Heating Station, another Heating Source ore more, or a Ventilation unit are in a CAN bus network, one Modbus Gateway (6049501) is sufficient to control both systems by using different Modbus register addresses.

Probleme beim Download der Dokumentation und Frage zur Fehlercode-Übersicht
OpenGuten Tag

Hallo,
