EDF Tempo

Description

The EDF Tempo option offers 6 different kilowatt-hour prices, depending on the time of day (peak and off-peak) and the color of the day (blue days, white days and red days).

Various public APIs exist (such as those from energy manager/supplier, RTE and EDF), but they are not compatible with Loxone (token and/or format problems). Gateways have been implemented to retrieve data from the energy manager/supplier, act as a buffer, and present the endpoints in a Loxone-compatible format.

The non-official service used for this template is api-couleur-tempo.fr. It provides:

- The today's and tomorrow's EDF Tempo colors (blue, white or red) - The number of EDF Tempo days consummed and remaining in the year - The cost per kWh according to the period (off-peak/peak hours and color of the day)

All this information enables you to know exactly which period you're in, so you can adopt eco-actions and anticipate your electricity consumption needs according to the current and next day's color.

This template includes all these information (see the Virtual Input items in Download section). The configuration attached to this template displays all this information in a complete status block. A TTS notification is also added to warn the user on the next day color (if different than blue).

Important : Since this information doesn't change frequently, it's not necessary to force the query cycle too frequently, as this could saturate the services. The default cycle is every hour.

  1. Thank you

    Bonjour ENESY,

I am guessing that you are French, creating such a template for the very French EDF TEMPO subscription. I just wanted to thank you for it, It all makes sense and is very well programmed. I inspired myself from your work to do my own TEMPO page on my miniserver. If I may, the only change that I have done, is for the HP/HC Memory Flag, I used a ON/OFF Schedule to turn HP On when within the times. With the soon evolving HP/HC from EDF, it might get a bit more tricky with your solution.

Anyways. Thank you again for the template, it really helped clear my code.

    Regards,

    Tim

    1. Hi Tim, Yes, you are correct, I'm French! :) Thank you for your message! I'm glad to hear that you found the template helpful. Using a schedule is definitely a smart approach, especially if HP/HC hours are subject to change. I’ll certainly consider updating the template to reflect such flexibility in the future. Thanks again for your feedback, it’s much appreciated! David
