  2. Modbus Air Extension

    Hello, thank you very much for the library, I tried to receive the data with the Modbus Air interface, unfortunately I get no data. Is it possible that this is not possible? Which interface does the device have to be connected to exactly, the Modbus or the BMS interface?

    Does the Modbus interface have to be activated? Or is a specific firmware required?

      It works now, you had to go to Slave in the WR under Advanced Settings and set the address from 00 to 01, then the Modbus Air received the data immediately.

    I have a LIFEPO4 battery communication with AKUBOX connected to the BMS port, I have an Eastron SDM630 connected to the Meter-485 port. Is it possible to connect a Modbus extension to Modebus ? Or how would you solve it ?

    I am using the Loxone-provided library for the Deye SUN 12K SG04LP3 inverter and have encountered intermittent CRC errors when communicating via Modbus RTU. These errors do not appear consistently but occur frequently enough to cause concern.

    Could you please advise on possible causes and solutions for these CRC errors? Are there any recommended settings, firmware updates, or troubleshooting steps I should follow?

    A Modbus extension is needed, or it also works via Modbus TCP (with a connected DEYE LSE-3 Stick logger)?

      It works without a modbus extension via MODBUS TCP. Set the inverter as SLAVE and adress to 01 (not 00) and use port 8899 instead of the standard 502 for MODBUS TCP communication. Thus it works fine for me with the LSE-3 Logger.

    Do you know if it's possible to work also ModBUS TCP with the WIFI logger? or only with the LAN logger? I have a wifi loger, I set slave and 01 address modbus, on 8899 port, but i did not receive data; thank you
