Description

The connecdoor.controller transforms doors into smart access points by integrating electronic components into the building's automation system. Discretely fitting within the door, it supports various swing door types and enhances building management and security.

RS485 Extension Requirement: For each door, the connecdoor.controller requires an RS485 extension to connect and manage the door's functionalities effectively.

Universal 24V Power Supply: The system is designed to supply doors and the integrated components with 24V DC.

The provided plugin integrates the connecdoor.controller with current inputs and outputs into the Loxone System. Accompanying this integration, example projects are available for download.

Example project key features:

- Door states: Monitors and displays the current status of doors (not closed - open, closed not locked, closed and locked, Hardware error, invalid condition). - Access entry by NFC Code Touch: Offers door unlocking through both NFC Code Touch for authorized in-person access and if activated remote operation via the Loxone App, with a dedicated password recommended for enhanced security. - Scheduled day/night switching: Implements scheduled day/night mode switching, activated only if an authorized person has opened the door previously. - Interface X20/X21 reading: Monitors which lock is detected by the connecdoor.controller. - Counter for number of daily openings and accesses: Tracks and logs the daily number of door openings and access attempts for security and management purposes. - Alarm system integration with manipulation detection: The reliable door states provided by the connecdoor.controller can be used to implement futher functions e.g. alarm system. The connecdoor.controller recognizes impossible scenarios, such as when the door is physically open but the lock is manually manipulated to indicate a locked state. In case of an reboot the connecdoor.controller switches to a safe condition (night mode).

Application story – Detached house with Loxone front door: Example project Home

- System is locked by default. (night mode) - Authorised access from outside via NFC Code Touch (NFC key or code entry) - Unauthorised persons can request access by ringing the doorbell and be granted temporary access via the opening element in the living room or mobile device - Temporary opening can be triggered at any time via the opening element in the living room and mobile device - If the locking component is to be opened permanently, it can be switched to day mode via the mobile device using the switch. (party mode) - As a security feature, the user has implemented an automatic reset of the day mode - at midnight or after 4 hours at the latest, the system switches to night mode.

Application story – Office building with Loxone access door: Example project Office

- During opening hours, the system is in day mode. - People can enter the building or room at any time (MO 08:00-12:00, TU 16:00-18:00, MI 08:00-12:00, TU 08:00-12:00 and 16:00-18:00, FR 08:00-12:00, SA+SO closed). - To ensure that the system is not open outside opening hours, day mode is only activated after the first authorised access on the NFC Code Touch. - Outside opening hours, access can be requested by unauthorised persons by ringing the bell and granted via the opening element in the building - Temporary opening can be triggered at any time via the opening element in the building

Memory Flags (Sensors) Memory Flags can be found inside the main project (navigation tree) under "Memory Flags" or be added by the user in case of an existing project.

- STARTUP OCCURRED (connecdoor.controller O2): is enabled with connecdoor.controller reboot. Can be reset with the RESET STARTUP OCCURRED input. - HARDWARE ERROR (connecdoor.controller O3): the connecdoor.controller detected a hardware-error, resets with a controller reboot (see ERROR HANDLING note). - DAYMODE ACTIVE (connecdoor.controller O4): the door system is in day mode (operation mode). - NIGHTMODE ACTIVE (connecdoor.controller O5): the door system is in night mode (operation mode). - SUMMARY NOT CLOSED (connecdoor.controller O6): the wing / summary is open. - SUMMARY CLOSED NOT LOCKED (connecdoor.controller O7): the wing / summary is closed but not locked. - SUMMARY LOCKED (connecdoor.controller O8): wing / summary is locked (i.e. also closed). - SUMMARY UNKNOWN (connecdoor.controller O9): a faulty condition e.g. faulty sensor data or broken wire. A unknown wing state will result in an unknown summary state.

Outputs (Actors) Outputs of the controller can be found inside the connecdoor.controller (navigation tree) under actors.

- LOCK_ACTIVE_WING: activate the locking mechanism of the active wing, if present, does nothing otherwise. - LOCK_PASSIVE_WING: activate the locking mechanism of the passive wing, if present, does nothing otherwise. - LOCK_DOOR_SYSTEM: activates the locking mechanism, recommended to lock the door, does nothing if not applicable. - UNLOCK_ACTIVE_WING: activate the unlocking mechanism of the active wing, if present, does nothing otherwise. - UNLOCK_PASSIVE_WING: activate the unlocking mechanism of the passive wing, if present, does nothing otherwise. - UNLOCK_DOOR_SYSTEM: activates the unlocking mechanism, recommended to unlock the door, does nothing if not applicable. - DAYMODE: sets the mode of operation to day, unlocks the door permanently while active, does nothing if not applicable. - NIGHTMODE: sets the mode of operation to night, active unlocking of the door is required during night mode, does nothing if not applicable. - REBOOT: reboots the connecdoor.controller.
