Description

This template allows you to control your Buderus Logamatic 5000 without Gateway over Modbus TCP. The Modbus RTU interface of the Logamatic 5000 is exclusively for Modbus RTU internal application purposes from Buderus and is therefore not available. The Buderus Logamatic 5000 is a control system for gas heating generators, oil heating generators, heatpumps, hybrid systems.

The choice of paring Buderus Logamatic 5000 systems with Loxone offers the possibility of:

- integrating demand-based heating and cooling depending on e.g. presence or the protection of open windows - Active integration in interaction with e.g. PV- systems in a Loxone Energy Management - Use statistics ore individual notifications - Create your own individual schematics - Reduce cycles and operating hours of your Buderus heating - Combining hybrid solutions e.g. Gas heater and PV- Heating element in your Hot Water Storage - Create e.g. yearly operation goals like certain annual runtime forces for hybrid systems e.g. (Heatpump 60% amount of energy, Logano 40% amount of energy) to fulfill the requirements of your local government. - In addition to the electrical power, the current and total thermal energy can also be visualized via the Loxone Energy Flow Monitor. To the compact overview for e.g. contractors. - Influence on the hot water circulation pump by controlling via the presence detectors. - Increased security through leakage detection or activation of IP cameras in the plant room.

With our step by step manual for collecting the heating or cooling demand and forwarding it to the Buderus Logamatic, we enable the interaction of the individual room control with the central heating/cooling system Buderus Logamatic. Please take a look on the Loxone Config sample file in the Library download area.

Buderus helpcenter and download area:

- The download link at the bottom of the Buderus website that leads to the ZIP file of the always up-to-date Modbus documentation is unfortunately only available in german: Logamatic 5000 - Modbus-Schnittstelle | BuderusIf you need the actual documentation in english, please contact your local Buderus partner - The installation and service documents for the Logamatic controls are available at the following download link in unfortunately only german: Software Logamatic 5000 | BuderusIf you need the actual documentation in english, please contact your local Buderus partner - Please note that different Datapoints apply for different Logamatic software versions. Follow the document "User documentation instructions for controlling the Logamatic 5000 control unit series via Modbus TCP-IP".

UseCase: Integration of a Logamatic 5313: Residential building with heating, warm water storage and heating circuits.

- Device gas heater Buderus Logano plus KB372 with Logamatic 5313 - Warm water storage tank --> Controlled by Loxone - Mixing circuit heating HC0 (e.g. radiators) --> Logamatic 5313 --> Controlled by Loxone - Mixing circuit heating HC1 (e.g. ceiling heating) --> FM-MM --> Controlled by Loxone - Mixing circuit heating HC2 (e.g. underfloor heating) --> FM-MM --> Controlled by Loxone

The Buderus Logamatic 5000 as delivered from the factory is capable of controlling the boiler circuit, the hot water preparation and one mixing circuit. If you want to control up to 3 mixed heating circuits, you need the "FM-MM" function module.
