Description

The device supports the MP Data-Pool functional profile. All available data points are managed in a data pool and accessible with MP read/write commands.

Depending on the desired application, Thermal Energy Meters that meet the requirements of EN 1434 and have type approval according to the European Measuring Instruments Directive 2014/32/EU (MID) or devices with automatic glycol compensation are available. If the application requires a calibrated heat measurement, which can be used to settle the costs directly, the MID-approved Thermal Energy Meters are used. Thermal Energy Meters are available without approval, for applications or regions that do not require it. This model should also be selected if you require automatic compensation for glycol such as sub-zero applications.

Why the Belimo Thermal Energy Meter?

- Accurate measurement based on ultrasonic transit time technology - Ready for IoT-based billing - Simple setup and configuration with the Belimo Assistant App - Analogue/digital signal conversion of passive and active sensors or switches - Analogue output (DC 0...10 V) is available and can output the flow rate or temperature of the fluid - Seamless integration in the building management system via bus communication - Device can be powered and data can be transferred directly via an Ethernet cable(PoE)

Structure:

The choice of paring Belimo Thermal Energy Meter with Loxone offers the possibility of:

- [Flow/Power/Energy Monitoring and Analysis]: The integrated Water Flow / Power / Heating & Cooling consumption recording of the Thermal Energy Meter ensures transparent Energy Flow Monitoring with individually created System Schematics. Strainers interruptions, valves not switched over, missing power or energy leaks in the building can be found quickly. The valves that do not close tightly or, for example, consumers that are in “manual mode” are discovered. Using and storing statistics, creating individual notifications. e.g. threshold value excesses or error notifications. - [Continuous Glycol monitoring]: Manual measurements are replaced. If the amount of Glycol is too low, there is a risk of freezing or water damage. If the proportion is too high, the energy consumption of the circulation pump increases. The Glycol concentration can be tracked in the statistics, individual thresholds can be set for notifications or automatic dosing can be carried out. - [Cost Saving]: Fast commissioning via Belimo Assistant and fast error finding thanks to Belimo and Loxone Diagnose Tools. - [Actions]: For example, switch off the heat pump if the flow rate is too low before a fault occurs. Switch off the Circulationpump of the cooling circuit if the temperature of the backflowsensor is to low (dewpointprotection).
