Description

The flow sensor is installed in the system via two external threads (ISO 228-1). The power supply is AC/DC 24 V and the output signal is 0...10 V or communicative via BACnet MSTP, Modbus RTU or MP-Bus. The flow rate can be accumulated. Programming is carried out with the Belimo Assistant App via NFC technology.

Belimo′s next generation inline flow sensors use ultrasonic technology to provide accurate and repeatable measurement in any HVAC application. This innovative measurement method features patented glycol compensation logic to detect, monitor and compensate the glycol concentration in the system at all times.

Benefits:

- Compatible with a wide range of heating and cooling fluids - Accurate measurement of glycol content (%) - Accurate volume counting / accumulation - 0...10 V DC analog output, with flow or temperature selectable via the Belimo Assistant App - Scalable analog output provides optimal resolution - Flow values readings and error messages via a bus interface – BACnet MS/TP, Modbus RTU and MP-Bus and NFC – using the Belimo Assistant App - Additionally, a sensor or switch can be connected

Structure:

The choice of paring Belimo Flow Sensor´s with Loxone offers the possibility of:

- [Flow, Monitoring and Analysis]: The integrated Water Flow recording of the Belimo Flow Sensor ensures transparent Flow monitoring with individually created System Schematics. Strainers interruptions, valves not switched over, missing power or energy leaks in the building can be found quickly. The valves that do not close tightly or, for example, consumers that are in “manual mode” are discovered. Using and storing statistics, creating individual notifications. e.g. threshold value excesses or error notifications. - [Continuous Glycol monitoring]: Manual measurements are replaced. If the amount of Glycol is too low, there is a risk of freezing or water damage. If the proportion is too high, the energy consumption of the circulation pump increases. The Glycol concentration can be tracked in the statistics, individual thresholds can be set for notifications or automatic dosing can be carried out. - [Cost Saving]: Fast commissioning via Belimo Assistant and fast error finding thanks to Belimo and Loxone Diagnose Tools. - [Total Energy]: Calculate the temperature difference with the integrated supplyflowsensor and backflowsensor using external temperature sensor and calculate the current output using a formula module. [e.g. Q = 4000kg/h • 1,163 Wh/(kg • K) • 15 K] Include the current power at the “Pf” input of the “Meter” building block and obtain the total energy. - [Actions]: For example, switch off the heat pump if the flow rate is too low before a fault occurs.
