Belimo 6-way EPIV V1 Modbus RTU
Content languageEnglish
Description
The electronic pressure-independent 6-way zone valve from the Belimo ZoneTight product family combines the benefits of two proven Belimo valves in a single unit: the high planning reliability and efficiency of the electronic pressure-independent EPIV valve and the ease of installation of the 6-way characterised control valve. This valve system determines the quantity of water in real time thanks to continuous flow measurement. Due to dynamic balancing, the correct quantity of water and, thus, the desired level of room comfort are ensured at all times – even in the event of partial load and differential pressure fluctuations. The actuator can also easily be put into operation via smartphone. Due to near field communication (NFC), this is possible even when the actuator is not connected to the power supply. Available in sizes DN 15 and DN 20.
Benefits
- Time-saving and reliable valve sizing according to the maximum flow rate for each sequence - Automatic, permanent hydronic balancing through the valve - Securing the correct quantity of water with differential pressure changes and with partial loads - Maximum plant safety due to integrated pressure relief function (patent no.:EP3143315B1) - Numerous control options and simple commissioning and checks via Near Field Communication (NFC) - Digital work sequences support the commissioning and operation of deviceswith the Belimo Assistant App - The app enables commissioning via NFC and the reading out of the commissioning report

The choice of paring Belimo 6-Way EPIV with Loxone offers the possibility of:
- [Demand based Heating and Cooling]: The Belimo 6-Way EPIV regulates depending on the Room Heating or Cooling requirement, Presence detection, Window status, Automatic Shading, Weather Forecast and Energy Management (PV Surplus, Variable Electricity Tariffs, Load Management). - Perfect switching between heating and cooling directly at the consumers in conjunction with the Intelligent Room Controller building block. - Read out the position to calculate the power demand for upstream valves or pumps. - Using and storing statistics, creating individual notifications. e.g. threshold value excesses or error notifications.
Possible Use Cases: There are several UseCases that are applicable with 6-way EPIV. The detailed list of possible applications could be found in the following document:
